A Review on Hydration Process and Setting Time of Limestone Calcined Clay Cement (LC3)

The extensive usage of concrete and ordinary Portland cement has generated 5~8% annual global CO2 emissions, causing serious environmental problems. To reduce such impact, researchers have made significant efforts to develop alternative materials that may partially or entirely replace the cement, as limestone calcined clay (LC3). LC3 not been commonly adopted in reality because uncertain setting times during transportation construction processes. Comprehensive investigation understanding great significance industrial upgrading. As a result, this study is committed comprehensively reviewing hydration process time materials.
